The following are steps you can take to access a safe abortion

Looking for abortion pills?

It is possible to order mifepristone and misoprostol online and self-administer an early medical abortion safely at home. The medicines are very safe and are on the World Health Organisation’s list of essential medicines. For more information about their safety, effectiveness, and how to use them, please click here.

While early medical abortions with these pills are very safe, there are some websites fraudulently selling unknown tablets to women so Galway Pro-Choice recommends women in Ireland who want to access these medicines to use the following service: www.womenhelp.org

Another service offering these medicines which is safe to use is www.womenonweb.org

If you have more questions about early medical abortions and how to access the medications, please contact us on gpcconfidential@gmail.com to speak to a member who has received training on early medical abortions. Your information will be kept strictly confidential.

If you have already bought pills from Women Help Women or Women on Web and have any questions or concerns, BPAS have a free helpline.
